Optician revamps www.opticianonline.net

Optician's website has been re-launched on a new web platform that allows more use of video, image galleries and optimises the site for use on tablets and smartphones, the Continuing Education and Training area has also been updated to enable new innovative methods for interactive CET.

Following a comprehensive review of readers' needs Optician has redesigned www.opticianonline.net into a real-time optometry news and education resource. News and features will be uploaded continually providing a real time news and a wider selection of editorial features and integrated with Optician's Twitter feed and Faceboook page. Continuing Education and Training modules will be available online for the first time and these will increasingly use video and visual recognition excercises offering interactive CET points. Optician's traditional CET has been revamped to include video and imagery and new features such as the randomisation of questions. All modules are backed up with a feedback  forum which allows participants to discuss CET with Optician's clinical editor Bill Harvey.
