Optician's new website is proving a hit among the profession with unique visitor numbers reaching 53,000 in June and page impressions during the month close to a quarter of a million, a subscription paywall for the site is due to go live in September.
The revamped Optician website went live in May and regular users of the site will see news and features updated around six times a day. This has allowed the Optician team to report on a greater volume of stories and expand on the journal content. Among the new innovations on the Wordpress-based site are greater use of video and image galleries, polls and interactive CET. A digital edition of the magazine is also now available, if you prefer a digital edition can be delivered to your inbox each Thursday in place of the traditional paper issue.
