Optix Software and its user base have made a significant donation to Vision Care for Homeless People.

Trevor Rowley, managing director of Optix, presented a cheque for £6,444 to Elaine Styles, chair of Vision Care for Homeless People, last week at Optrafair. The money was raised from delegate donations made at the recent Optix conference at Celtic Manor and a matched contribution from the UK optical software company.

Rowley said the donation was a natural next step for the company: ‘We have worked with Vision Care for Homeless People for four years, supporting the clinics with software. We thought it would be good to introduce a charity appeal at our annual user conference and this was the obvious charity for us to support.’
