Optometry Scotland announces the launch of a country-wide roadshow

Optometry Scotland has announced the launch of a country-wide roadshow.

The events will be free to attend and are targeted at Scottish ophthalmic teams delivering General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) in NHS Scotland. They will take place in Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling and will focus on recent changes to GOS regulations. Participants can receive two CET points for attending, with events taking place between October 31 and November 26.

Samantha Watson, chair of Optometry Scotland, said: ‘It’s vital that ophthalmic teams are well supported in the effective delivery of GOS, including a strong understanding of fresh amendments to the original 2006 regulations, payment verification arrangements, eOpthalmic, and more. Our five nationwide events will raise awareness and enhance understanding, while also providing bespoke information to individual practices.’
