Optos expects rise in revenue

Increase in installations boosts profits

Retinal imaging company Optos expects revenue growth of 16-17 per cent for the financial year ending September 30 2008, according to a pre-close trading statement for the period.

Released ahead of the group's preliminary results announcement in December, Optos said that it expected revenue of between $100.5m and $101.5m.

The statement also revealed that the company had expanded its base of installations with 3,800-3,850 devices operating on its pay-per-patient business model, which represented 90 per cent of total revenue generated during the year.
