A positive Optrafair 2011 saw both an increase in attendance over 2009 and numerous reports from exhibitors of improvement in their sales figures over the previous show.
Total purchased floor space increased 8 per cent over Optrafair 2009, with 218 exhibitors attending while visitor numbers increased by 2 per cent to 6,647 individual visitors in comparison to 6,505 in 2009.
Practice management software provider Ocuco experienced record breaking order levels according to its UK managing director Gareth Cottrell. 'We did three times better in our sales of Acuitas software to independent opticians than at any other Optrafair,' he said.
Conveying his company's success at the show, Stuart Burn, managing director of financial services provider Performance Finance, said that business was 75 per cent higher than at Optrafair 2009.
