The Manchester-based company's main business was supplying prescription lenses to independent opticians as well as making items such as underwater cameras, binocular lenses and prescription goggles.
The company's core customers were practitioners in the Manchester area. The receiver Crawfords has convened a meeting of creditors to take place on March 28.
