Online rumours that Portland Eye Care and Portland Optical Laboratories in Staffordshire and the West Midlands have gone into liquidation are untrue, its founder John Beddows has told Optician.
‘The two companies are still trading as normal and we have the full support of our bank,’ said Beddows.
Reports had surfaced on web forum The Optom, but Beddows said he did not know the source.
The business has nine practices and an ophthalmic lab.
