Daysoft reports 13.2% increase in overall sales to £12.25m

Financial results released to Companies House by Scotland-based contact lens manufacturer Daysoft have shown a 13.2% increase in overall sales to £12.25m and a pre-tax profit increase of 7.2% (£1.61m).

The company, which said it had a 5% share of the UK contact lens market, also reported a gross margin of 71.8%. It said this underpinned financial performance and continued investment at significant levels in key strategic areas including manufacturing process enhancements, a multi-language and currency e-commerce platform that took orders in over 90 countries and extensive cross-channel advertising and brand-building.

‘These investments strengthen the directors’ firmly held view that the Daysoft Group has sound foundations for future profitable growth whilst giving regard to any uncertainties and opportunities associated with Brexit,’ said the company in a statement.
