Practice director retires

Specsavers' Lesley Brown leaves after 40 years, handing the business to her daughter

Lesley Brown, a practice director at Specsavers Greenock, has retired after nearly 40 years in optics and handed the business over to her daughter.

Brown qualified as a dispensing optician in 1991 and joined Specsavers in 2008 in a regional development manager role where she trained optical assistants. She joined the Greenock practice as director in 2015 and overseen its growth to now having a team of 40 staff and the launch of an audiology hub.

‘My time with the team at Specsavers Greenock has given me so many cherished memories. It’s been fantastic to see the practice grow and the team here deliver incredible customer service to the generations of loyal customers they have in Inverclyde,’ Brown said.
