Practice makes hospice donation

An optical practice has raised £206.65 for a local charity in the space of a month. Boots Opticians in Farnham donated £1 for every pair of glasses sold in December 2011 to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. The team also intends to enter a team for the Steps under the Stars midnight walk on September 8, again raising funds for Phyllis Tuckwell. Heather Geeson, who started the Boots Opticians franchise in 2008, said: 'Supporting local charities is so important to me and my team.' She is pictured handing the cheque to Andrew Cox, corporate and major partnerships manager of the hospice.
