Thieves have stolen more than £15,000 worth of frames from Icon Opticians in Hampstead, London.
The break-in happened in the early hours of last Sunday morning when thieves used crowbars to smash the store's shutters and window to gain access.
'Frames were displayed in locked racks and the thieves ripped them from the wall,' co-owner and optometrist Darren Sheward told Optician.
'They took high value brands such as ic! berlin, Robert Marc and Persol sunglasses. We have alerted local practices about what has happened just in case our stock is offered to them.'
The practice is open for business but has had to take additional security measures until the damage can be fully repaired.
