Rawdon cuts freeform prices

Rawdon Optical has announced that it has reduced prices for its freeform multifocal lenses by as much as 50 per cent.

The manufacturer said it was the second price drop since December 2012 and the new prices would allow practices to offer freeform technology lenses for less in a time when the majority of retail prices were on the up.

'Recent investment in plant and technology at our Leeds lab has allowed us to enjoy significant savings in the cost of producing our freeform varifocal lenses,' said Richard Crook, managing director Rawdon Optical. He added that the resulting savings were being passed on to its customers.
