Bausch + Lomb launches new vision care food supplement

Consumer data collected ahead of the launch of Bausch + Lomb’s new supplement Ocuvite Max has found that two out of five (38%) of those questioned thought their diet provided adequate support for their eye health, yet nine out of 10 (94%) had not heard of zeaxanthin and four out of five (79%) had not heard of lutein.

The new gluten free vision care food supplement, that has a zesty orange flavour is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and comes in the form of granules that can be taken directly by mouth or poured over food.

Nearly half (49%) of those surveyed said they were looking more for food additives to add to meals now, yet 91% stated they were eating more ready meals or convenience foods than ever before. Over a third said they were already buying nutritional additives such as flax seeds, goji berries to support diets nutritionally. A single sachet of Ocuvite Max contains 180mg of vitamin C, 150mg of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), 30mg of vitamin E, 15mg of zinc, 10mg of Lutein and 2mg of Zeaxanthin.
