Optoms Cycling for Sight asks the profession to get on their bikes and raise money for Optometry Giving Sight

Optoms Cycling for Sight is inviting optical professionals to help raise funds for OGS by riding the Yorkshire  route taken in the opening stages of this year's Tour de France.

A full range of  cycling distances will be mixed with the opportunity to gather CET points on the Sunday August 24 event. The education element of the day includes a peer review session plus a poster quiz, cycling distances will range from  50km to 190km. All of the money raised through entry fees and sponsorship will be donated to Optometry Giving Sight.

OC4S was established by a group of  Bradford optometry students in 2011 and has staged a cycling challenge each year to raise money for OGS. Last year a party lead by OC4S co-founder, Fares Hatoum, cycled from London to Paris in 24 hours. This year's event has been devised to suit a range of cycling abilities.
