Sign up to the Tour de Yorkshire and raise money for Optometry Giving Sight

The Tour de France is creating quite a stir this year which is great news for all us MAMIMs. For those of you  familiar with the acronym Middle aged Men In Lycra you will probably have guessed that the last M is for merino wool, a much more natural, and far more expensive, alternative.

Which brings us to sheep. This year's big sporting challenge for Optician is to join the Optoms Cycling for Sight. It is taking on the Tour de Yorkshire basically a recreation of the opening stage of the Tour de France which took place from Leeds to Harrogate last weekend through the beautiful Yorkshire moors. I'm hoping our time on the road is something like the real peloton but I'm not planning on hitting the deck like poor old Mark Cavendish.
