RNIB hosts See Differently Awards 2024

Outstanding efforts to support blind and partially sighted people were celebrated at the Royal National Institute of Blind People’s (RNIB) annual See Differently Awards in London on May 21.

Stand-up comedian Jamie MacDonald hosted the People’s Postcode Lottery-sponsored event, including seven categories, and presenters included actor Alastair Petrie, disability advocate Lucy Edwards and TV personality Simon Minty.

Uveitis specialist Dr Harry Petrushkin and Judith Barton, who provided 40 years of outstanding support for charity Seescape, both received the Highly Commended Award.

RNIB CEO Matt Stringer said: ‘The RNIB See Differently Awards celebrate the amazing stories and achievements of so many people and organisations who generously share their lived experience and professional knowledge.’
