Experts discuss glaucoma detection, diagnosis and care
A policy roundtable was held by the RNIB and Specsavers in Manchester last month to discuss glaucoma detection, diagnosis and care.
Sponsored by Specsavers, the roundtable brought together a patient representative with experts from ophthalmology, optometry and commissioning. Four further roundtables will be held, with recommendations resulting in a report published later this year.
RNIB Director of Engagement Fazilet Hadi said: ‘The discussions covered a range of issues including the challenge of spreading good practice and innovation across the NHS in England. Most importantly, the patient perspective was always at the heart of our conversation.’
