A new eyewear collection produced and distributed by Safilo is McQ, a contemporary brand from Alexander McQueen.
This first McQ line is described as translating the vision of creative director Sarah Burton, with sunglasses and optical frames embodying an urban, young London, using traditional techniques in contemporary ways. ‘McQ takes inspiration from street culture, evoking the varied and ever-evolving style tribes that spring up around Britain’s rich music and art scenes,’ the company explained.
There are three key stories in Razor, a symbol synonymous with McQ, The Jack and Stealth models with contrasting details and bold juxtapositions and Cult, which takes the marbled detailing from the McQ footwear, translating it into colourful temples with a soft rubber feel.
