David Burghardt Vision Care invited the 25th Lincoln Cub Scouts to spend two hours at the practice where they learned about eye care and optometry.
The cubs were visiting as part of their community award and while there took part in a competition to design their own spectacles. The winner, eight-year-old Hannah Cornwell-Smith, won a £15 cinema voucher. All the entries will be on display in the practice window throughout July.
Practice manager and dispensing optician Emma Austin said: 'The children all did a fantastic job designing their spectacles but we were particularly impressed with Hannah's bright and imaginative design.
'We felt they learned a lot about what we do and why it is important for them and their parents to make sure they receive proper eye care,' she added.
