Scrivens receives award

Scrivens has received an honorary Rotary award for its donation of more than £1m worth of hearing and diagnostic equipment. The Paul Harris Fellowship award was presented to group director Mark Georgevic at an event at the Burlington Hotel in Birmingham. Scrivens started collecting and donating hearing and diagnostic equipment four years ago, after a plea from the Rotary Club of Birmingham. The Club was involved with a charity that collects and distributes the equipment to the people in KwaZulu Natal. Scrivens has now donated 2,500 hearing aids, 15,000 batteries, 40 otoscopes and 38 audiometers. 'This award is an enormous compliment for everybody at Scrivens,' said Georgevic. Club president Earle Wightman presented the award.
