Seiko expands coatings portfolio

Seiko has launched the Super Resistant Clear (SRC) collection, which it called its most advanced coatings portfolio ever. It includes five coatings for distinct lifestyles to address challenges from premium, all day use to relieving digital eye strain.

Each coating is applied to the front and back surface of the lens to ensure visual comfort and precision in a range of conditions. Seiko said the simplicity of the concept made the decision process more straightforward for patients and facilitated clear communication by eye care professionals.

SRC Ultra offered 50% lower reflectance than previous Seiko coatings; SRC One was designed for all day wear; SRC Sun reduced glare and enhanced contrast for natural vision; SRC Road was tailored for driving in low-light conditions by minimising glare; and SRC Screen was adapted to modern digital demands for patients exposed to prolonged screen use.
