The latest in Serengeti sunglasses include a classic and a modified, inverted aviator style, as well as a new range of elongated and modified rectangles and ovals, in metal and acetate. The Essex, for example, is a metal frame with plastic cups. All Serengeti photochromic lenses offer patented Spectral Control filters which enable the lenses to filter out blue light. The lenses also absorb 100 per cent UVB and at least 98.5 per cent of UVA rays, says the company. Serengeti produces three types of sunglass lenses. Drivers (for driving and general wear) and Vermilion (for sports) have an anti-reflective coating on the reverse side to reduce back reflection. There is also a range of lightweight polycarbonate lenses designed for water sports enthusiasts, titled H2Optix. Contact 01452 528686.
