Shaping community eyecare will be the major theme at this year’s National Optometric Conference which takes place in Birmingham October 23-24.
Outlining the topics and keynote speakers on this year’s NOC programme, LOCSU Managing Director, Katrina Venerus, said: ‘From the Call to Action and its enablers, to the work being done by Local Eye Health Networks; these matters are all important in pushing the issue of eye health up the commissioning agenda. She said speakers would include Dr David Geddes, head of primary care commissioning at NHS England, who is expected to present some of the emerging findings from the Call to Action, another main theme of the conference.
