Paul Surridge (pictured) sent out a call for Sight Care members to put themselves forward as ambassadors for optics through its Eye Love Local National Awareness Day on June 26 this year.
He said at this week's Sight Care Conference that a number of initiatives would take place around that time, including consumer research into how consumers choose their current practice.
Surridge said ambassadors would come from the Sight Care membership. 'We are looking for people who will talk to the local media. We have a limited budget and we want to maximise the resources we have,' he added.
