Sinclair Optical Service staff, customers, suppliers and associates had the opportunity to win ÔA Rolls at the RollsÕ for at the companyÕs Annual Golf Day.
To do so, players had to get a hole-in-one at the 18th of the Rolls of Monmouth course on June 27.
The prize for the competition nearest the pin at the 18th was won by optometrist Teifion Newman of Weston-Super-Mare who won a new trophy. The Wayne Davies Memorial Annual Challenge Cup was presented in memory of optometrist and founder member of Sinclair Golf Society Wayne Davies of Porthcawl, Bridgend, who died earlier this year.
Bev Williams of Eyedeals Direct won a Rolls Spirit of Ecstasy Trophy Ð sponsored by Ryland of Cardiff Ð for the best individual performance. Ryland supplied the two Rolls Royces which were on display during the tournament.
The best team prize was won by optometrists Mike Pool, David Sandall and Darren Lowe.
Sinclair chose the fourth hole as a sponsored competition for an ECG Recorder for the new Hereford Hospital, with the prize of a vintage Rolls Trophy going to Sinclair sales director Adrian Haines.
A total of £1,500 was raised on the day and a cheque was presented at the dinner in the evening to Jenny Dereham, chairman of the new Medical Equipment Appeal for Hereford Hospital.
