Called Sauflon Multi, the product contains a lubricant and built-in cleaner which the company claims eliminates the need for separate digital cleaning. The solution is available in one- and three-month packs, which, the company says, will be priced to compete with multipurpose solutions. Sauflon adds that it believes the solution's formulation is the first of its kind to successfully combine peroxide with a surfactant cleaner. Peter Pannell, Sauflon sales and marketing director, commented: 'The product is one that every contact lens practitioner has been looking for, since it virtually eliminates patient non-compliance - the weakness of all contact lens aftercare systems, until now.' Mr Pannell added that Sauflon Multi would find favour with contact lens wearers because of the simplicity of the product.
