SpaMedica opens 50th eye hospital

SpaMedica opened its 50th eye hospital in North Tyneside, which was expected to cut waiting times by offering appointments in two to four weeks, compared to the national target of 18 weeks.

Hospital manager Anish Patel said that the hospital is working with the NHS to ensure easy access to cataract surgery and YAG laser capsulotomy.

‘Our team of skilled surgeons and healthcare professional are looking forward to delivering the best possible care to patients in North Tyneside and the surrounding areas,’ he said.

SpaMedica opened its first hospital in Manchester in 2008 and now employs more than 1,700 people nationwide.
