Specsavers' advert licks the Cream

A Specsavers' advertisement that appeared in optician on March 29, promoting the attractions of the South West of England to optical professionals, has won an award in the regional final of the Cream Awards for the advertising industry.
Copywriter Richard James, who, together with art director Roland Guille, created the advertisement, accepted the award at the South West and Wales final held at the Marriott Hotel, Bristol at the end of September.
The company's creative department team of seven copywriters, art directors and designers are based in Guernsey and are responsible for the development of all the group's advertising.
Creative director Graham Daldry said: 'Recruitment advertising is a difficult category in which to be noticed, so the award really is credit to all involved.'
The awards are held annually by the advertising industry. The national final will be held in the New Year.
