Optical multiple chain Specsavers has been voted one of the top 500 retail superbrands for the fifth year running in the latest YouGov survey for the Superbrands Council.
Along with other leading brands, such as supermarket chain Tesco and technology giants Google and Microsoft, the multiple chain has been included on the list which recognises brands which represent 'quality, reliability and distinction'.
In a separate development this week, Specsavers' in-house creative department won several formal advertising accolades for the production of some of the company's TV and radio adverts during 2008.
The company scooped several awards at the recent Cream Awards, an advertising industry event celebrating creative excellence. The team's 'Eerie' advert won the prize for TV commercial of the year.
