Specsavers fully rolls out Bright Future bursary

Specsavers has rolled out the Bright Future bursary programme across England and Wales to support the next generation of optometrists and inspire young students in the community.

The initiative launched across the UK after an initial introduction in Scotland and Northern Ireland. It provided over £2,000 in financial support and part-time work at local Specsavers practices, with in-practice experience and shadowing and mentoring opportunities.

Specsavers early careers manager Lucy Knock (pictured) said: ‘The bursary will allow partners in community Specsavers practices to invest in talented, local pupils. It will help build a strong relationship between the student and that practice through school, university, Pre-Registration years and beyond.
