Optical staff turned flour zombies from Specsavers Reading Broad Street have once again won their annual high street pancake race.
They claimed the frying pan prize for the third year in a row, this time in aid of local charity Launchpad Reading, which began as a soup kitchen 35 years ago but now provides accommodation, support, education and counselling to people in the town.
Jordan Casciello, dispensing consultant and participant, said: ‘It’s a fantastic event for the whole town but more importantly it’s for a great cause.’ Pictured from left to right are Casciello, Kera Stewart, Mayor of Reading Marian Livingston, Akhona Mwellie and Aiden McKee.
