Specsavers has been highlighted as an example of a menopause-friendly organisation in a new book aimed at helping employers support staff through menopause.
The book, M-power: A menopause action plan for organisations, by psychologist Laura Haycock, encouraged workplaces to normalise and de-stigmatise conversations about menopause.
In the book, Haycock wrote: ‘Forward-thinking organisations like Specsavers show what a difference employers can make to help women continue to participate, perform, progress and thrive through menopause.’
Lou Furby, co-founder of the MenoTalk colleague network at Specsavers, commented: ‘Recognition of our work, in this book, underlines why what we do matters in making Specsavers a great place to work.’
