Specsavers stakes claim on high street trust

Patients have rated Specsavers above its rivals for both trust and customer service in a survey of optical chains operating in the UK.

A YouGov poll of more than 2,000 potential patients saw 28 per cent rate Specsavers as most trustworthy, followed by 19 per cent for independents and 14 per cent for Boots Opticians in third place.

Five per cent of the respondents said they would not trust any optician and in a separate question 11 per cent had never visited an optician.

When it came to customer service, a majority of 37 per cent again backed Specsavers – ahead of all its surveyed rivals put together.
