Specsavers trio cycle for Crisis UK

A trio of Specsavers employees will cycle 478 miles from Theydon Bois in Essex to Edinburgh on September 17 to raise £20,000 from homeless charity Crisis UK.

The amateur cyclists are: service development manager Richard Curtis; product development manager John Adams; and Adrian McCann, optometrist director at Specsavers Leven and Cupar.

McCann said: ‘Many people are facing challenging times, and one vulnerable group in dire need are those without a place to call home. I wanted to do something proactive for a cause that I feel deeply passionate about. Then the spark came to pick a feat that would challenge and push me at the same time. Pedal power won.’
