Steve Backley, former javelin world record holder and member of the Athletics Hall of Fame, opened the latest Vision Express store at the brand new Westfield Stratford City shopping centre in east London last week. A company spokesperson said the store boasted over 1,000 frames, from designers including Bvlgari and Tom Ford, to its own collections of frames and lens packages. In addition, it said the store had been equipped with the latest eye testing technology. On the opening, Backley said: 'I'm delighted to have been able to officially open the new Vision Express store in Stratford. It goes without saying just how important vision is to athletes be it Olympians or just everyday sports enthusiasts.'
