Study tour will cover Vietnam

Associations

Vietnam has been chosen as the destination for an optometry tour in late March being led by Association of Optometrists' chairman David Shannon.

The study tour examines optometry and eye care in the broader context of Vietnam's healthcare system and will include visits to Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An and Saigon.

At the end of the tour there is also an extension to the temples of Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Shannon said: 'What we are trying to do is pick tours that are interesting to visit and then try to find out more about optometry and eye care in those places.'

Organiser Jon Baines Tours has now been organising optometry visits since 1995, with his last three trips to India, Cuba and China. He said group sizes were typically between 10 and 15.
