A registered blind lawyer and his sighted boss plan to summit 24 mountain peaks in 24 hours on September 7-8 to raise money for SeeAbility.

Michael Smith and his brother Dan lost the majority of their sight aged 19 because of Leber’s Optic Neuropathy and now aged 33, only have around 10% of their vision.

With his colleague Jack Stacy, the pair are aiming to raise £150,000 while tethered together and working in unison to complete the challenge.

‘I don’t have much usable vision and haven’t got any depth perception, so Jack will be planting his feet on the ground and then telling me where to plant mine. He will be my eyes. I will be reliant on him every step of the way,’ Smith said.
