Celebrities flocked to the optical sector’s highest profile annual gathering in London last week when Specsavers hosted its Spectacle Wearer of the Year awards night.

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton launched the SWOTY campaign earlier this year and appeared last Tuesday to present the overall winner and celebrity awards.

James Adenrele, age 27 from Milton Keynes, was presented with the overall Spectacle Wearer of the Year 2015 prize by Bunton (see picture).

Prizes were also handed out for celebrities including TV veteran Anne Robinson, while stars including Louis Walsh, Twiggy, Sarah Harding and Christopher Biggins were also in attendance.

An auction held at the event by actor Biggins helped boost the amount of money raised for bullying prevention charity Kidscape to £80,000.
