Optical practices in Suffolk have been targeted by thieves in a spate of raids carried out during opening hours.

Silhouette optical frames worth approximately £700 went missing from Drage and Tozer Opticians in Sudbury at 1.20pm on Saturday February 23. Shortly afterwards, around £700 worth of MiuMiu and Ray-Ban frames were stolen from Boots Opticians in the same town. The last theft occurred in nearby Ipswich at about 3.45pm when 24 frames with a value of approximately £3,000 were taken from a Dollond & Aitchison practice.

In each incident, thieves removed frames from display stands while other customers browsed. Anyone offered such frames in suspicious circumstances should call the police on 01473 613500.
