Optometry students achieved a pass rate of 76 per cent in March's Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs).
The College of Optometry announced the results for 63 candidates who took the final exams at the Royal College of General Practitioners in London.
College head of examinations Joseph Oakley said: 'Many congratulations to those candidates who have passed their final assessment, and welcome to the profession. The OSCE is the final hurdle in the Scheme for Registration's assessment process, and those who pass have clearly demonstrated the ability to put all that they have learnt through their degree and pre-registration training into practice.'
