Tim Bowden gets Optoms Cycling for Sight challenge off to a flying start

Kent based Contact Lens Optician, Tim Bowden, has raised over £2,000 in aid of Optometry Giving Sight by cycling the 326 miles from Chester to Richborough Castle in Kent.

Kent based Contact Lens Optician, Tim Bowden, has raised over £2,000 in aid of Optometry Giving Sight by cycling the 326 miles from Chester to Richborough Castle in Kent.

To make the epic journey Bowden devised a route which followed the Roman road, Watling Street. He completed the journey over five days beginning on August 11. Optoms Cycling for Sight supports Optometry Giving Sight’s World Sight Day Challenge. Bowden, who last year raised £2,500 for the challenge said: 'It has been good for my health and fitness levels whilst at the same time helping to drive awareness among patients and friends of the misfortune of others that do not have access to eye care and eyewear that we take for granted.’
