Over 50 practitioners from around the UK visited the School of Optometry and Vision Sciences in Cardiff recently for the first in a series of 13 Topcon University events.
The educational programme included a range of CET lectures and offered each delegate up to seven points. Consultant medical ophthalmologist Ayad Al-Bermani gave a presentation on age related macular degeneration and Dr Catharine Chisholm lectured on glaucoma. Optometrists Sarah Morgan and Nick Rumney also gave presentations.
Practitioners shared best-practice ideas and tips on everyday imaging and OCT scanning - with a particular focus on trend analysis.
‘We hope the delegates have taken home plenty of clinical tips and ideas to apply in practice. With half of our Symposia already fully booked, we are looking forward to travelling the UK and Ireland over the next 4 months and bringing education to practitioners’ doorsteps,’ said Dr Catharine Chisholm, Topcon UK and Ireland clinical affairs manager.
