Topcon University has scheduled a conference focused on OCT for November, which it said was the first of its kind in the UK.

The event would provide optometrists with expertise and know-how to ‘confidently make the most of their investment in OCT’, a statement said.

Topics included the features and benefits of 3D OCT, how to educate patients about the benefits of OCT screening, reading of scans and when to refer.

Topcon’s National OCT Conference will be held at Birmingham’s Metropole Hotel on November 22 and 23. The cost of the event, including all food and refreshments, would be £150 plus VAT.

It follows the equipment firm’s Educational Symposia series, which attracted over 450 delegates over five months in 13 locations in the UK and Ireland.
