Symposium generalA total of 50 CET points will be on offer to attendees of the full two-day programme of the first ever National OCT Conference on November 22 and 23, organised by Topcon University.

Delegates at Metropole Hotel, Birmingham must decide whether to attend one of five conference streams for beginners, intermediate/advanced, business, peer discussion and workshop.

Costing £150, the event was to begin with a keynote lecture by Professor Paulo Stanga of Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, organisers announced.

A number of other speakers have been confirmed for the event.

Professor Stephen Vernon, consultant ophthalmologist at University Hospital, Nottingham, will speak on ‘OCT of the optic disc and nerve fibre layer’. Professor Vernon is best known for his prolific research papers and lectures on glaucoma and was one of the early pioneers of glaucoma shared care in the UK.
