A new suite at City University London’s Fight for Sight Eye Optometry Clinic catering for students and the public has been fully equipped by equipment manufacturer Topcon.
The new Topcon University Suite was equipped with 3D optical coherence tomographers, optical biometry and topography systems, along with a digital fundus camera and digital video slit lamp.
The equipment will be available to trial and loan, which the university said would enable undergraduates to practise difficult clinical skills and to familiarise themselves with modern equipment that future employers were likely to have in the workplace when they graduate, ultimately contributing to high quality outcomes for patients.
