A new guide to home improvements to make life easier for people with sight loss has been published by the Thomas Pocklington Trust.
The practical guide lists low-cost ways in which homes can be improved for those with failing vision. Advice includes choosing paint colours that reflect light, using lighting that is flexible and adjustable (with dimmer switches), and using lamp shades and vertical blinds to prevent glare from lights and windows.
A PDF of the guide can be downloaded from www.pocklington-trust.org.uk or a hard copy can be obtained by calling 020 8995 0880.
