Ultralase has made further inroads into the Irish market with the acquisition of Eye Laser Ireland, a company which encompasses three clinics for an undisclosed sum.
The additional premises - in Dublin, Limerick and Cork - will make Ultralase the single largest provider of laser eye surgery in Ireland, according to the company.
It entered the Irish market last year with the acquisition of the Waterford Eye Clinic and the eye laser surgery clinic at Shanakiel Hospital from the Quality Healthcare Group. This followed the purchase of the Quality Healthcare Group flagship clinic in Belfast.
Ultralase's chief executive, Tony Veverka, commented: 'For Ultralase, this takeover represents a clear vision of a wish to establish a network of clinics in Ireland.'
