UltraVision International has extended its Igel Select lens range to include Kerasoft in the new water-retentive Benz 3X material for keratoconic patients.
The Kerasoft lens is designed to reduce fitting time and bring high levels of patient comfort and increased wearing times.
The company says it is virtually free from protein depositions due to the small matrix size of the material, reducing the risk of lens contamination, while simplifying the patientÕs care regime.
Released in the UK in time for the BCLA conference and exhibition this weekend, the lens range is available in unlimited spherical powers and cylindrical powers of up to -11.00D, with axes in half degree steps.
Bill Twemlow, UltraVision internationalÕs professional services director, said: ÔThe Igel Select Kerasoft lens brings high levels of patient comfort and positional stability plus visual acuity that is comparable with rigid lensesÕ
