UltraVision has ties in Taiwan

UltraVision CLPL has linked up with Taiwan Macro Vision Corporation (TMVC) for the launch of its iDealsoft range of contact lenses in Taiwan.

It said the tie-up would also bring the lens range into mainland China and South East Asia once full product licences were in place. There are plans to launch iDealsoft in a silicone hydrogel material next year. iDealsoft lenses are already made in Taipei by TMVC’s sister firm, Hiline Optical, under license from UltraVision.

Keith Lomas, group CEO of UltraVision CLPL, said: ‘While TMVC uses its expertise and channels to build sales in Taiwan, China and South East Asia, UltraVision CLPL will continue to focus and invest in research, development, patenting and licensing of its technologies to contact lens manufacturers worldwide.’
